Tiger Woods had an up-and-down day at Round 1 of the Greenbrier Classic in West Virginia. Woods started out hot with birdies on two of his first three holes but then missed a gimme bogey putt on 17 that took him into plus territory. Woods couldn't carry over the momentum from last week's victory and finished 8 shots off the pace at one over par. Meanwhile, Phil Mickelson, also carded a one over par 71. Lefty's errant tee shot at the 12th summed up his sub-par performance. Mickelson was in good spirits, though, and shook hands with the fan that he almost took out. Elsewhere, Jonathan Byrd made a long birdie putt on number seven for the shot of the day. Byrd is one stroke behind leader Vijay Singh heading into Friday's 2nd Round which can be seen on the golf channel.
