Zach Johnson Wins Playoff at John Deere

Zach Johnson won the John Deere Classic after defeating Troy Matteson in a playoff. Johnson sunk his birdie putt on the second playoff hole to secure his second PGA Tour win of the season.

At the final round of the John Deere Classic, Troy Matteson forced a playoff with Zach Johnson after sinking a birdie on the 18th. Both players struggled on the first playoff hole, matching double bogeys after hitting their second shots in the water hazard, but later on the next hole it was Johnson who would come out on top. With the win, Johnson captured his ninth career victory and second this season, it also moves him into second in the FedEx Cup standings, trailing only Tiger Woods.
