Both players struggled on the first playoff hole, matching double bogeys after hitting their second shots in the water hazard, but later on the next hole it was Johnson who would come out on top. With the win, Johnson captured his ninth career victory and second this season, it also moves him into second in the FedEx Cup standings, trailing only Tiger Woods.
