Boston Red Sox Roll Past Miami Marlins

The Red Sox dropped the Marlins 7-5 for their third straight victory. David Ortiz, Cody Ross and Kelly Shoppach all homered to support Clay Buchholz, who won his fourth straight start.

The Red Sox outslugged the Marlins to take the opener of their 3-game set at Fenway Park. Boston starter Clay Buchholz won his 4th straight start despite allowing five runs off the bat of Miami DH Logan Morrison. Buchholz' counterpart Mark Buehrle took the loss after being lit up for six earned runs in only five innings. David Ortiz smacked his 17th home run while Cody Ross and Kelyy Shopach also went deep as the Sox won for the fifth time in their last six games, 7-5.
