Webb Simpson picked up right where he left off at Round 1 of the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut. The U.S. Open champion shot a four-under par 66 on Thursday. Simpson's approach shot on the 12th set-up one of his five birdies on the day. Meanwhile Masters champion Bubba Watson had one less birdie than Simpson but his improbable eagle on the par-four tenth turned out to be the shot of the day. Watson finished tied for fifth with Simpson and eight other golfers at four under par and are just two shots off the pace. Round 2 can be seen Friday afternoon on the Golf Channel.
