The Red Sox were swept by the red hot A's on Sunday. Boston starter Daisuke Matsuzaka suffered the loss after allowing six runs on seven hits in only three and two third innings of work. Boston's pitching woes continued as the A's beat up the Sox early with a two-run homer by Seth Smith in the first and a solo shot by Stephen Drew in the second leading Oakland to the 6-2 win. With the loss, Boston has now dropped six in a row.
