Boston Red Sox Lose to Texas Rangers

The Red Sox suffered their fifth loss in seven games, falling to the Rangers, 7-5. Jon Lester lost for the tenth time this season. Ryan Dempster picked up his first win for the Rangers.

The Redsox dropped a game under.500 after falling to the Rangers on Tuesday night at Fenway Park. Texas starter Ryan Dempster rebounded after a rough first outing with his new club and worked 6 shutout innings to pick up his first win as a Ranger . Dempster's counterpart Jon Lester fell to 5-10 on the season after giving up 6 hits and 4 earned runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. The Sox put up a valiant effort in the 7th inning and knocked Dempster out of the game when Will Middlebrooks hit a pinch hit three run homer however that was it for the Sox as they fell, 6-3.
