The Red Sox came up short in their series finale against the Mariners on Wednesday night. Aaron Cook took the loss as he allowed two runs on seven hits over six innings of work. Dustin Ackley's RBI single gave Seattle a two run lead in the fourth, but Boston would fight back. Cody Ross cut the deficit in half with a sixth inning RBI double but that's as close as it would get as the Red Sox fell to the M's 2-1.
