Doubront, Red Sox Torched by Rangers

The Red Sox were routed in their series opener with the Rangers on Monday night. Felix Doubront was lit up for six runs on eight hits over five innings while striking out six. Jarrod Saltamalacchia's second inning home run gave Boston an early 1-0 lead but it was all Texas after that. Josh Hamilton and Mike Napoli led the Rangers' attack by driving in a pair of runs as they crushed the Red Sox 9-1.
