The Red Sox blasted four homers en route to pounding the Marlins at Fenway Park. David Ortiz hit a grand slam as part of a six run fourth inning as the Boston bats unloaded for 16 hits. Mike Aviles, Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Will Middlebrooks chipped in with homers as the BoSox set a season high in runs. Felix Doubront picked up the win while Miami starter Rickey Nolasco was rocked for nine hits and nine runs as Boston rolled to their fourth straight win, 15-5.
