The Boston Celtics had a chance to clinch a spot in the NBA Finals with a win, but LeBron James and the Miami Heat had other ideas as the Celtics were blown out in Game 6, 98-79.Get More NBA Video
Kevin Garnett and the Celtics looked to eliminate LeBron James and the Heat in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals at TD Garden. King James was in attack mode from the opening tip and Rajon Rondo matched his intensity in the first half. Rondo scored 19 of his team-high 21 in the opening half. But he was no match for LeBron. The MVP's soaring putback jam highlighted his 30 point first half. And James kept it going after intermission as well. LeBron's old school fading bank shot put Miami up 19 early in the third while his pull-up three later in the period squashed Boston's comeback hopes. King James' 45 point, 15 rebound performance carried the Heat to a 98-79 blowout victory over the Celtics. Game 7 is Saturday night in South Beach.
