The Celtics were looking for their 2nd win in as many nights as they visited the Hawks in Atlanta, but Lou Williams made it clear from the start that he would not play the role of gracious host. Williams scored 21 of his 28 points in the 1st half as the Hawks took a 15 point lead into halftime. However, Paul Pierce would counter after intermission. Pierce exploded for 17 of his 26 points in the 3rd as the Celtics outscored the Hawks 33-9 in the quarter, and Rajon Rondo's triple-double finished things off. Rondo finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists as the Celtics rallied back to beat the Hawks 89-81.
